The Young Turks: Donald Trump sees Syrian refugees as a humanitarian effort, but doesn’t harbor the same feelings for Hispanics
Donald Trump showed compassion and said he would accept Syrian refugees. The Young Turks Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola break down why Trump supports Syrians but not Hispanics. “He doesn’t extend the same type of empathy to other immigrants. Does he know what’s been going on in Mexico…” Kasparian explains, “Between 2006 and 2010, over 60,000 people were murdered in Mexico over cartel violence. They were living in hell.”
Trump was also quick to blame President Obama for the crisis. Kasparian and Iadarola explain why Trump is wrong in blaming Obama because of the complexity of the situation in Syria with Bashar Al-Assad, “Remember Assad is fighting against ISIS. Assad is an enemy, but ISIS is an even bigger enemy. If we did away with Assad, who knows what would have happened,” Kasparian explains.
